The Acura RSX - new sports coupe has been created in 2002 to replace the Integra model.

There was a time when the luxury Acura Integra identified class sports coupe. However, as national tastes have focused on trucks and luxury sedans, Integra, in addition to small-market sports coupe left in the shadow. The 2-door Acura RSX is equipped with two-litre four cylinder engine, which is double the upper camshafts and variable system of the opening or closing the valve, to yield 160 horsepower at maximum torque time 6,500 revolutions per minute.

In addition to all RSX has three options gearbox: five-speed manual transmission, five-speed automatic with SportShift mechanism (personal choice of gear) and 6-speed.

In a number of models, Acura RSX has charged version of the Acura RSX Type-S with program for the i-VTEC system, allowing building capacity of 200 horsepower at 7,400 revolutions per minute. At the Type S version is only 6-speed mechanical gearbox.
